The artist

One guitar.
A wide-open songbook.

Matthew Freeman is a South Alabama solo acoustic artist whose live sets connect country, bluegrass, Americana, Southern rock and 1990s alternative.

His performances move naturally between close, story-centered songs, familiar singalongs and fast acoustic playing. The repertoire draws from Billy Strings, Tyler Childers, Sturgill Simpson, Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell, The Red Clay Strays, Alice in Chains, Nirvana, Pink Floyd and The Stanley Brothers.

Performance experience

Two postseason kickball gatherings at KT's Tavern in Dothan, Alabama, plus a private Christmas event for approximately 100 guests.
